Jacques ILOKI

Artist Painter

Born in 1962 in Brazzaville. Jacques ILOKI entered the Poto-Poto painting school in 1985. But before his arrival at the school, his painting career began at home in 1979, where he learned the rudiments of the profession from his father, who was one of the school's great painters.

Jacques ILOKI's semi-abstract style of painting is inspired by everyday life and African traditions. He was a prize-winner at the 7th CICIBA Biennial, where he was awarded the Grand Prize for Painting by the President of the Republic of Congo.
